Exhibition time.

Starting this Sunday, my street photographs will be seen at Crippas Café and bar in Gothenburg, Sweden. For three weeks you can see some 25+ images, taken in several larger European cities.

The grand opening is at 4 pm, Sunday March 15. You are welcome to come and see and talk about the photos, as I’ll be there until 8 pm. Hope you can make it.

Here a few of the photos you can see at Crippas.

The exhibition.

With photographs from London, Lisbon, Berlin, Chicago and Gothenburg my exhibition turned out quite ok. As a creator you always see the small flaws and all, but taking two steps back even I can think: “I’m ok”.

It’s hung inside the Swedish Television and Swedish Radio broadcasting building in Gothenburg, so not that easy to access it. But for me, as a first ever, it is nice enough. You like it too?

The tolerant city.

Love Berlin. For it’s openness and will to stay in tune with a changing time. Even though street photography is less easy here, as people aren’t that open to get their pictures taken. But with an open face and an cheerful approach everything can be done. Right.

All of these pics are part of my new exhibition in Gothenburg.
Which of them do you like the most?

To never forget.

I was born 15 years after the end of WWII. I was taught to never forget. I just want all of you young to understand how horrified our parents were, when they realized the extent of the atrocities of the nazis. And that it all can happen again.

I was in Berlin twice in 2014. The place that got to me the most was probably Denkmal für die ertmordeten Juden. Here a couple of pics. Today, to remember the holocaust.

Or better in color?

This is an image I’ve mostly (since I took it in Berlin in September 2013) displayed in black and white. But I’m getting more hesitant about that choice.

The last year I’ve started to do my pics more and more in colour. Almost every photograph I took in Lisbon in April have therefor been in color. So I’m wondering – this pic, is it better in color too?

Walking the Plank.

This Saturday, me and a lot other photographers participate in a makeshift exhibition at Planket in Gothenburg. Everyone get a metre (1,1 yard) and what you do with it is up to you.

I’ll go hardcore. I’ll laminate my 10-12 pics and nail them to wooden boards, just for fun (and for the possibility of rain).

Wanna see some more?

Cathing moments.

The third of my friends in my street photography community (Gothenburg area) that I’ll like to introduce is Mats Johansson. As many of us, he’s got another job full time and take pics wherever he go (as he travels a lot). No matter whether you call Mats an amateur or not, he’s got that great eye for interesting pics.

I saw one of Mats exhibitions last spring, where he declared that anything urban interests him, sometimes it’s street art, sometimes street photography – quite often a combination of the two. In his own words:

– To look for and catch moments, views and interesting meetings in a urban environment is magic, especially with lots of people and movements in them. It’s the mix of documentary and art that fascinates me.

” Kunst on wheels”.  After a week with looong work days in Brussels I walked towards the Central Station. Lovely weather, with lots of people. At the stairs up to Kunstberg/Mont des Art I saw three skaters. Shot several pics, of which this is one. The guy really liked to show off, both tricks and tattoos.
